Our Pillars

sevenpillars

We would like for you to know that

Grace City is a place of…

Worship (Exalting the King)

The primary reason we meet together is to focus our attention on God, giving Him our Worship and displaying His love one toward another.  Each of these occasions is a special time of spiritual restoration and empowerment.

  • I Peter 2:9
  • Hebrews 13:15
  • Psalms 100:4

Growth (Educating Minds)

We consider the practice of studying the Bible a necessity for spiritual development. The Word of God not only instructs us intellectually, but also guides us spiritually.  We believe it and accept it as God’s Word to us, a Book that is alive and relevant to life today.

  • Romans 12:2
  • Hosea 4:6a
  • Proverbs 4:7

Empowerment (Empowering Lives)

Our desire is that all will advance spiritually, mentally, economically and socially. Grace City offers a wealth of opportunities- special programs and ministries that lead to economic security, educational attainment, cultural identification, physical and mental well-being, while spiritually inspiring a life of empowerment-which fills the calendar year.

  • Isaiah 40:29
  • 3 John 2

Fellowship (Edifying Believers)

We believe nothing is as dear as Christian fellowship.  That’s why we make it a priority to provide many opportunities for members to build lasting bonds among church family. These relationships are based on care, consideration and genuine commitment to one another. Best of all, there is room for you in “the city.”  We’d love for Grace City to include you.

  • I Peter 2:21
  • Acts 2:42
  • John 15:8

Service (Equipping for Service)

Just as Jesus Christ came”not to be ministered unto, but to minister…” we accept out Christian responsibility to reach out in service to others.  The mandate to serve applies both within the church family and outside our fellowship.  We look forward to serving you, our community, the Quad Cities, and the world.

  • Ephesians 4:11-12

Evangelism (Evangelizing Souls)

We believe that the number one mandate and mark of maturing Christians is to share the love of God in both word and action.  Therefore, we strive and seek to introduce unbelievers to the saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

  • Isaiah 61:1
  • Mark 16: 15
  • Matthew 25:35 – 40

Expansion (Expanding the Kingdom)

We consider it the responsibility of the church to invest, develop, and transform the community wherein it exists through Christian principled service, community economic development, strategic partnerships, and being an advocate for a good and just society.

  • Micah 6:8
  • Isaiah 58:12
