Tomorrow is “Jeans Sunday” as we end our Layer-Up Just Jeans Campaign for the homeless. Our Goal is to have 100 pairs of Jeans donated! We will also wear our jeans for Sunday service and pray over them as we prepare to give them to those who truly need them to layer-up in efforts to keep warm in the cold elements

Every Friday our City Corps Team has been going out on the streets offering food, hot coffee, coco, hats, gloves and anything that we have to offer our brothers and sisters who are without housing every night. One of the needs many of them have expressed is the need for jeans. We are almost at our goal of 100 pairs. If you have some lightly used jeans that you no longer wear, please consider donating them. Meet me this Thursday, January 17, 2019, 6pm – 7pm at Grace City Church, 1925 5th Ave, for an Informational Session on the Black Hawk College Highway Construction Careers Training Program! This Free 13 Week Class for selected participants provides training in construction equipment, OSHA training, blueprint reading, stick welding, job skills and more…We want to see you in the construction trades. Open to Iowa and Illinois residents! Tell my Brothers and Sisters who are Returning Citizens, the program is Felony Friendly!
