Hello Grace City Family! We are doing a School Supply Drive starting Sunday Aug. 26th through Sept. 7th for “Bless the Block” which is Saturday Sept. 8th. We want to do just that, Bless the students with book bags and supplies to help them have a successful year!
The Exploratory Learning Program is hosting a free community viewing of “Queen of Katwe” a movie based on a vibrant true story of how a Ugandan girl’s life changes forever when she discovers she has an amazing talent for chess, in this celebration of the human spirit. Hope to see you there!
This powerful play was written by Susan Adams and addresses real-life serious subjects of Abandonment, Rejection, Bullying, Abortion, Addiction, Adultery, Shame, Abuse and being Torn. All proceeds will benefit Argrow’s House of Healing and Hope, which provides free Holistic services for women healing from violence and abuse. Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased in advance by calling Melissa at 309-558-8096 and they will also be available each night at the door.
